EMPLOYEE TRANSFER POLICY IN BSNL
Will the Minister of COMMUNICATIONS be pleased to state:
(a) whether BSNL has employee transfer policy and if so, the details thereof;
(b) whether the provision of posting of husband and wife in the same station/SSA/Circle is available in the said transfer policy and if so, the details thereof; and
(c) whether the BSNL employees, i.e., husband/wife is exempted from transfer in case of longest stay in SSA/ Circle when husband/wife is an employee of State Government or State PSU and if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor?

(a) Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has informed that it has a transfer policy which was notified in May, 2008.
(b) & (c) With regard to posting of husband and wife in the same station/SSA/Circle, the provision in the transfer policy of 2008 is as below:
“As far as possible and within the constraints of administrative feasibility, request for posting of husband and wife at the same station shall be considered if the employee’s spouse is serving in Central/State Government or a Public Sector Undertaking (PSU)”
