AYUSH hospitals under the National Ayush Mission

SETTING UP OF ADDITIONAL AYUSH HOSPITALS

Will  the  Minister  of  AYURVEDA,  YOGA  AND  NATUROPATHY,  UNANI, SIDDHA AND HOMOEOPATHY (AYUSH) be pleased to state:

(a) whether the Government has envisaged proposals to sanction additional AYUSH hospitals under the National Ayush Mission (NAM) apart from the ones previously sanctioned at Kakinada and Vishakhapatnam in the next financial year;

(b) if so, the details thereof along with budget allocations made therefor; and

(c) the details of the break up of the Integrated Hospitals sanctioned under NAM during the last two years?

THE MINISTER OF STATE (IC) OF THE MINISTRY OF YOUTH AFFAIRS AND SPORTS AND ADDITIONAL CHARGE OF MINISTER OF STATE (IC) OF THE MINISTRY OF AYURVEDA, YOGA & NATUROPATHY, UNANI, SIDDHA AND HOMOEOPATHY (SHRI KIREN RIJIJU)

(a) & (b): Ministry of AYUSH is implementing Centrally Sponsored scheme of National AYUSH Mission (NAM) through States/UTs and providing financial assistance to them as per the proposals received through State Annual Action Plans (SAAP). Under NAM, there is a provision of financial assistance to States/UTs for setting up of upto 50 bedded integrated AYUSH Hospitals. Central Government has approved 50 bedded integrated AYUSH Hospital each at Kakinada and Vishakhapatnam in the State of Andhra Pradesh as  per proposal received from State Government through their State Annual Action Plan (SAAP). However, no other proposal has been received from State Govt. of Andhra Pradesh through SAAP.
