NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 19th January, 2021

New Railway Line

S.O. 305(E).—Whereas by the notification of the Government of India, in the Ministry of Railways No.

S.O. 3545 (E) dated October 12, 2020 published in the Gazette of India, (Extraordinary) Dt.12.10.2020. Part II, section 3, Sub-section (ii), (hereinafter referred to as the said notification) under sub-section (1) of section 20 A of the Railway Act,1989 (24 of 1989) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), the Central Government declared its intention to acquire the land specified in the Schedule annexed to the said notification for execution of “Special Railway Project” namely “Chandigarh – Baddi Broad guage New Railway Line” in the District Solan of Himachal Pradesh.

and whereas the substance of the said notification has been published in “The Tribune”(English) dated 28th October, 2020 and in “Divya Himachal” (Hindi) dated 28th October, 2020 respectively; Under Sub Section (4) of Section 20 A of the said Act.

and whereas objections have been received under Section 20(D) and the same have been considered/disallowed by the competent authority.

and whereas, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 20 E of the said Act, the competent authority has submitted his report to the Central Government;

Now, therefore, upon receipt of the said report of the Competent Authority, and in exercise of the powers conferred by the sub – section (1) of the section 20 E of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares that the land specified in the said Schedule annexed hereto shall be acquired for the aforesaid purpose;

and further, in pursuance of the sub-section (2) of section 20 E of the said Act. the Central Government hereby declares that on publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, the land specified in the said Schedule shall vest absolutely in the Central Government, free from all encumbrances.
