Indira Gandhi Matritva Poshan Yojana has been launched by the Rajasthan government

Indira Gandhi Maternity Nutrition Scheme or Indira Gandhi Matritva Poshan Yojana has been launched by the Rajasthan government on 19 November 2020. In this scheme, CM Ashok Gehlot has announced to provide Rs. 6,000 to pregnant women in Rajasthan. This assistance amount of Rs. 6000 would be provided in five stages on the birth of the second child. Indira Gandhi Maternity Nutrition Scheme 2020

The state govt. of Rajasthan has started Indira Gandhi Maternity Nutrition Scheme 2020 for the nutrition of pregnant women, female mothers and children. Under the 1st phase of this scheme, pregnant women of 4 districts of the state shall get a financial assistance of Rs. 6,000 in installments.

‘इंदिरा गांधी मातृत्व पोषण’ योजना की शुरूआत महिला सशक्तीकरण की दिशा में राजस्थान सरकार द्वारा उठाया गया एक अहम कदम है। स्वस्थ एवं पोषित बच्चे देश का भविष्य हैं। गर्भवती महिला को उचित पोषण मिलेगा तो बच्चा भी स्वस्थ पैदा होगा।

Installments / Amount in Indira Gandhi Matritva Poshan Yojana

There would be 5 stages for the assistance amount distribution under Indira Gandhi Maternity Nutrition Scheme 2020 in Rajasthan:-

First installment of Rs. 1000 – Pregnancy, Screening and Registration

Second installment of 1000 rupees – Check at least two

Third installment of 1000 rupees – On institutional delivery

Fourth installment 2000 rupees – On all regular vaccines up to 105 days after childbirth

Fifth installment of 1000 rupees – On adopting the means of family planning within 3 months of the birth of the second child.

Assistance amount will be provided to the pregnant women beneficiaries in the 4 districts at the time of second child born on 1 November 2020.

How to Apply Online for Rajasthan Indira Gandhi Maternity Nutrition Scheme

Just like other maternity benefit schemes such as PM Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY), the state govt. may invite online application forms for the scheme. The Rajasthan govt. may invite Indira Gandhi Matritva Poshan Yojana registration forms at the official website rajasthan.gov.in or at a new dedicated portal. List of Documents for Indira Gandhi Maternity Nutrition Scheme

As per the official information, the pregnant woman and her children will get help in four districts in Udaipur, Dungarpur, Banswara and Pratapgarh. The help under Indira Gandhi Maternity Nutrition Scheme is being provided to the pregnant woman and her child for adequate nutrition. For this, purpose applicants will have to show the following documents:-

Aadhaar card
Other ID related documents like Ration Card, Voter ID
Photo copy of bank account or Post office account passbook
4 Recent Passport Size Photographs

In addition to this, financial assistance can also be obtained by showing health card issued from PHC or government hospital.

Phase 1 of Indira Gandhi Maternity Nutrition Scheme Rajasthan

The Rajasthan Indira Gandhi Maternity Nutrition Scheme Phase 1 has been launched in 4 tribal dominated (most backward) districts whose name are as follows:-

Udaipur
Dungarpur
Banswara
Pratapgarh

These 4 districts have been selected on the basis of ranking of maternal and child nutrition indicators. Later, it will be implemented in a phased manner across the state.

इस योजना की घोषणा इस वर्ष के राज्य बजट में की गई थी। फिलहाल यह योजना मातृ एवं शिशु पोषण संकेतकों पर बनी रैंकिंग के आधार पर प्रदेश के चार अत्यधिक पिछड़े टीएसपी जिलों उदयपुर, बांसवाड़ा, डूंगरपुर, प्रतापगढ़ में शुरू की गई है।राज्य सरकार इसे चरणबद्ध रूप से पूरे प्रदेश में लागू करेगी।

Beneficiaries of Indira Gandhi Matritva Poshan Yojana

More than 77,000 women would be benefited from the Indira Gandhi Maternity Nutrition Scheme in the state. Rajasthan govt. will spend an amount of Rs. 43 crore per annum for the successful implementation of Indira Gandhi Matritva Poshan Yojana. CM Ashok Gehlot has termed the scheme as historic on his birthday in the name of former PM Indira Gandhi. This scheme is an important step of Rajasthan government in the direction of women empowerment.

Funding will be done by the State Mineral Foundation Trust under the department of mines and geology. On the inauguration of the scheme, 2,000 beneficiaries of the four districts were given checks of Rs 1,000 as the first installment.

राष्ट्रीय खाद्य सुरक्षा अधिनियम, 2013 के प्रावधानों की अनुपालना में जिस भावना के साथ राज्य सरकार ने द्वितीय प्रसव के समय महिलाओं के लिए यह योजना शुरू की है उसे ध्यान में रखते हुए परिवार के लोग गर्भवती एवं धात्री महिला तथा बच्चे के पोषण का पूरा ख्याल रखें।
