NOTICE

POST-RESULT DECLARATION FACILITIES
TO THE STUDENTS OF CLASS X, MAIN AND SECOND BOARD EXAMINATIONS-2026

CBSE conducted the Class X Main Board Examination and the Class X Second Board Examination, 2026. The Result of the Main Board Examination was declared on 15.04.2026, and the result of the Second Board Examination was declared on 18.07.2026.

In order to facilitate the candidates, CBSE is providing the following Post-Result Facilities as per the schedule given in Annexure-I:

  • i. Scanned copy of the evaluated answer book;
  • ii. Verification of marks; and/ or
  • iii. Re-evaluation of one or more Answers. The applicable rules are explained below:

1. Students who appeared ONLY in the Main Board Examination

For these subjects, the same rules as given in Section 1 above shall apply.

2.2 Subjects taken in BOTH the Main and Second Board Examinations

2.2.2 Stage Verification of Marks Choose only can answer book for a subject-either Main or Second Examination – and apply for verification of marks in that answer book and/or apply for re-evaluation of one or more full questions in that answer book.
2.2.3   Re-evaluation of answers
Important: For a subject taken in both examinations, a student may obtain both answer books, but verification and/or re-evaluation can be requested for only one answer book­ either the Main Examination answer book or the Second Examination answer book. Once selected, the other answer book cannot be considered for these facilities.

GENERAL GUIDELINES

1. The entire process for making a request and payment of the fee is “Online”.

2. Requests for all the processes will be accepted only Online and during the specified schedules, alongwith fee. No application after the scheduled date and time and in offline mode will be accepted.

3. The fee can only be paid online (UPI/Credit/Debit Carc/Net Banking). Fee shall not be accepted through Postal Order/DD/Money order/Cheque/Cash etc.

4. Applications not submitted as per instructions given by the CBSE will be summarily rejected without any correspondence with the candidate.

5. Only a single application for each step per candidate will be accepted in the online process. The candidate must decide in advance whether he/ she has to apply for one subject or multiple subjects. Once applied, no second opportunity will be accorded. To ensure this, students will submit an online undertaking.

6. The Board will not be responsible for any consequences due to revision of mark(s) or delay in the process, for reasons beyond its control.

7. A decrease of marks even by one mark shall be affected.

8. In cases where there is a change in marks (both increase and decrease), such candidates shall have to surrender the Mark Statement cum Certificate which is in their possession. Thereafter, they shall be issued a new Mark Statement cum Certificate.

9. Fee and schedule is given at Annexure I.

10. Fee will be refunded in case of increase in marks after verification and/or re-evaluation in the same account from which it has been paid to the CBSE.

11. ONLY CANDIDATES WHO HAVE OBTAINED THE SCANNED COPY OF THE EVALUATED ANSWER BOOK SHALL BE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR VERIFICATION OF MARKS AND/OR RE-EVALUATION.

PROCEDURE

A. Obtaining a scanned copy of the evaluated answer book

1. The candidate must first apply for the scanned copy of the evaluated answer book. This will show how the answers were evaluated and how marks were awarded.

2. The candidate should submit the application personally and ensure that all details are correct. CBSE will not be responsible for errors made by any third party like cyber cafe etc.

3. The scanned answer book will be made available in the candidate’s login account. Details that reveal the identity of the examiner, evaluator or any other examination official will be hidden.

4. After examining the scanned answer book, the candidate may apply for verification of marks and/or re-evaluation, subject to the rules given in this Notice.

B. Verification of marks and re-evaluation

After receiving the scanned answer book(s), the candidate should examine them and decide whether to apply for verification of marks, re-evaluation, or both.

1. A candidate may obtain the scanned answer book(s) of the Main Examination, the Second Examination, or both, as applicable.

2. The candidate should compare the answers with the question paper and the marking scheme available on the CBSE website.

3. For a subject taken in both examinations, verification and/ or re-evaluation can be requested for only one answer book-either Main or Second Examination.

4. For re-evaluation, the candidate must select the full question(s) and provide reasons for the request.

5. Once the answer book of one examination is selected for verification and/or re­ evaluation in a subject, no request for the answer book of the other examination in the same subject will be accepted.

6. Re-evaluation will be carried out for the full question, not for a part of a question.

7. Verification and re-evaluation are available only for the theory portion of the examination.

8. The status and outcome will be uploaded in the same candidate login account. Candidates should regularly check the CBSE website; no separate individual communication will be sent for status updates.

9. The revised marks may increase, decrease or remain unchanged. A decrease of even one mark will be implemented.

10. The result of verification and/or re-evaluation will be final. No appeal or further review will be accepted.

12. CBSE’s decision regarding the marks awarded will be final and binding.

13. CBSE appeals to students and parents not to rely on unverified social media posts, rumours, or unofficial sources regarding the result process. Authentic and updated information shall be made available through CBSE’s official communication channels. For any assistance, you may contact CBSE HQ/ respective Regional Offices/CBSE Helplines.

A scanned copy of the Answer Book (s) under the RTI Act 2005 will be provided as per the provisions of the RTI Act 2005. However, request for re-evaluation or grievance redressal cannot be made under the RTI Act and shall not be entertained.

Candidates are advised to read this Notice carefully and submit their applications correctly within the prescribed schedule.
