Automotive industry plays a crucial role in our economy and demands a skilled workforce to meet its evolving requirements. With the aim to promote and nurture automotive skills among students across the country, CBSE in collaboration with the Automotive Skills Development Council (ASDC) is launching the ‘National Automobile Olympiad (NAO) 2026.

- About program: The National Automobile Olympiad (NAO) 2026 is a prestigious initiative designed to promote and develop automotive skills among students nationwide. With the automotive sector playing a vital role in the economy and requiring a future-ready skilled workforce, this Olympiad serves as a valuable platform for students to demonstrate their knowledge, technical abilities, and problem-solving skills.
- Participation offers schools an opportunity to engage students in healthy competition while enhancing their practical understanding and industry exposure. The Olympiad features a blend of theoretical assessments, hands-on activities, and problem-solving tasks, allowing students to connect classroom learning with real-world applications. It also provides a chance to interact with industry experts, explore emerging automotive technologies, and gain awareness of diverse career opportunities in the sector.
- Participation eligibility: This program is free and open for students of CBSE, State and other boards studying from Class VI to Class XII.
- Benefits: Participation in NAO 2026 will significantly strengthen students’ skill development and extend the benefits of this opportunity to a larger group of learners. Encouraging student participation also aligns closely with the board’s vision of holistic education and its focus on nurturing practical, future-ready skills.
The Principals of all affiliated schools are requested to encourage their students to participate in large numbers in National Automobile Olympiad 2026 and empowering students with practical skills and knowledge in the automotive sector.
