Will the Minister of HOUSING AND URBAN AFFAIRS be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Directorate of Estates administers Holiday Homes and Touring Officers’ Hostels maintained by Central Public Works Department (CPWD) and if so, the details thereof;
(b) the details of Holiday Homes/Hostels built and planned for construction during the last three years along with ongoing projects;
(c) whether there is no provision of refund for online bookings due to non- availability or cancellation facility and if so, the reasons therefor and action taken thereon;
List of Holiday Home/Touring’s Officers Hostels
(d) the amount of revenue collected from these homes during the last three years, location-wise;
(e) whether some of these buildings are not well maintained and are in dilapidated condition and there are complaints about deficiency of service and if so, the details of complaints and action taken thereon during the last three years; and
(f) the other steps being taken by the Government for improvement in functioning of these Holiday Homes including review of working, provision of refund policy, grievance redressal mechanism etc.?

SHRI KAUSHAL KISHORE
(a) Yes, the list of Holiday Home/Touring’s Officers Hostels is enclosed at Annexure – `A’.

(b) Holiday Home at Indore and Rameshwaram has been constructed during last 3 years and are operational. Construction work of Holiday Home at Prayagraj is completed which would be operational shortly. Holiday Home at Shillong is under planning.
(c) There is provision of refund for online booking in cases where booking is not confirmed and amount is credited in Govt. Account.
(d) The amount of revenue collected from these holiday homes w.e.f Jan 2020 till date is enclosed at Annexure B.
(e) Holiday Home and Touring Officers’ Hostels are being maintained and are not in dilapidated condition. It is submitted that the complaints received have been attended regularly.
(f) Complaint Redressal Mechanism (CRM) is operational in eSampada where applicants can file complaints on any issue including Holiday Homes. These complaints are attended by field officers, responsible for maintenance of Holiday Homes/Touring Officer’s Hostels.
