ANSWER
MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF PETROLEUM AND NATURAL GAS

(SHRI RAMESWAR TELI)
(a)&(b) Public Sector Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) have informed that expansion of Retail Outlet (RO) network is a continuous process to ensure adequate availability of motoring fuels like petrol and diesel throughout the country.
PSU OMCs have informed that they have not released advertisement in Financial Year 2021-22 inviting applications for setting up of new petrol pumps. However, they had issued advertisement in November/December 2018  for setting up of petrol  pumps across the country including Uttar Pradesh. State/District-wise details of locations advertised are available at https://www.petrolpumpdealerchayan.in. District-wise number of locations advertised (applications invited for new petrol pumps) by PSU OMCs in Uttar Pradesh in 2018 and number of petrol pumps operational as on 01.10.2022 out of the locations advertised are given in Annexure-1.
Establishment of CNG station is part of the development of City Gas Distribution (CGD) Network and the same is being carried out by the entities authorised by Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB). After completion of 11 A CGD bidding round, 295 Geographical Areas (GAs) covering about 98% of the population and 88% of total geographical area of the country spread over around 630 districts in 28 states/UTs including the state of Uttar Pradesh, have been covered under the CGD network. As on 31.3.2022, total 688 CNG stations are operational in the state of Uttar Pradesh. Geographical area-wise details of CNG stations commissioned in 2021-22 in Uttar Pradesh are given in Annexure-2.
