  • Photo identity card issued by the Central Government or State Government or Public Sector Undertaking

  • Central Government Health Service Scheme Card or Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme Photo Card.

Proof Of Address       

  • Aadhaar Card issued by UIDAI
  • Elector’s photo identity card
  • Driving License
  • Passport
  • Passport of the spouse
  •  Post office passbook having the address of the applicant
  •  Latest property tax assessment order
  • Domicile certificate issued by the Government
  • Allotment letter of accommodation issued by Central or State Government of not more than three years old
  • Property Registration Document

Proof Of Date Of Birth

  • Aadhaar card issued by the UIDAI
  • Elector’s photo identity card
  • Driving license
  • Passport
  • Matriculation certificate or Mark sheet of recognised board
  • Birth certificate issued by the municipal authority or any officer authorised to issue birth and death certificate by the Registrar of Birth and Deaths or the Indian Consulate as defined in clause (d) of sub-section (1) of section 2 of the Citizenship Act, 1955 (57 of 1955)
  • Photo identity card issued by the Central Government or State Government or Central Public Sector Undertaking or State Public Sector Undertaking
  • Domicile certificate issued by the Government
  • Central Government Health Service Scheme photo card or Ex-servicemen Contributory Health Scheme photo card; or
  • Pension payment order
  • Marriage certificate issued by the Registrar of Marriages

Fees For Updation Of PAN Card


If you want to update or correct your PAN card details it is mandatory to pay some fees, the following fee is finalized by the authorities:-
  • Rs 110 – For communication address within India
  • Rs 1,020 – For communication address outside India

Pan Card Update Process


The following process uses for the correction of details in your PAN card:-

First Step
  • First visit the official website
  • Click on the Update PAN/Aadhaar Details section present at the home screen.
  • Now Click on the Application Type tab.
  • From the dropdown menu select Changes or Correction in existing PAN data/Reprint of PAN Card (No changes in Existing PAN Data)
  • Click on the Category tab.
  • From the dropdown menu, select the correct category
  • Fill in your basic details such as –
  • Name
  • Date of birth
  • Email ID
  • Mobile number
  • Fill the Captcha Code.
  • Click on submit
  • Finally, your request will be registered
  • A Token Number will be sent to the email ID provided by you
  • Click on Proceed
  • You will be redirected to the form.

Second Step

  • Submit your documents through –
  • Now Submit digitally through e-KYC & e-Sign (Paperless)
  • Submit scanned images through e-Sign on NSDL e-gov or C-DAC (e-sign charges are Rs 5.90 in both cases)
  • Forward application documents physically
  • Fill your PAN and Aadhaar Details.
  • Finally do your correction from the following options –
  • Photo Mismatch
  • Signature Mismatch
  • Details of Parents
  • Tick the box that you want to correct.
  • Click on Next.

Third Step

  • You’ll be redirected to the Address and Contact page.
  • Fill in your address.
  • Or if you have provided your Aadhaar details and your PAN and Aadhaar are linked, then the residential address will be prefilled.
  • If you want to update your address, tick the box given below the prefilled address.
  • You will also be required to submit a valid proof of the address provided.
  • Click on Next
  • Submit Proof of Identity, Proof of add and Proof of Date of Birth.
  • Submit all the above-mentioned documents.
  • Sign the declaration mentioning the number of documents enclosed as proof.
  • Click on Submit
  • Pay above-mentioned fee amount.
  • An acknowledgement slip will be generated.
  • Take a printout of the acknowledgement slip.
  • Send the slip to the NSDL e-gov office along with the physical proof of documents.
  • Affix a photograph in the space provided and sign across it.
